Chamber
A chamber is an enlarged network structure, larger than a typical manhole, used where space is needed for valves, fittings, several incoming pipes, flow measurement or large diameters. In a longitudinal profile it is shown similarly to a manhole, with invert level, ground level and depth, but its plan geometry is more important because it determines the position of inlets and outlets at different levels. When checking the design, verify all connected invert levels and make sure the legend describes the chamber's actual function.
