Title/data band

The data band (German Schriftband or Datenband) is the table placed below the graphical part of a longitudinal profile, listing the route’s numeric data row by row: manhole numbers, chainage, ground levels, cover levels, inverts, reach lengths, slopes, and diameters and material. Row labels run down the left side, and the values align vertically with the matching points in the drawing above. The data band is where the exact figures are read — the graphical part, because of vertical exaggeration, mainly conveys the overall course. When checking a profile, verify the band’s values against the drawing and that every node has a complete set of rows.
